It is always nice to visit Belcarra and especially Belcarra Regional Park but today was magical. The park was almost empty and a few timid animals made an appearance like this Harbour Seal. Belcarra is situated in the North East Sector of Greater Vancovuer and is a beautiful jewel. Home to some amazing Real Estate as well!

The Starfish can always be seen at low tide but this young Dungeness Crab escaped a fate of a boiling pot of water by being undersized and let go by the fisherman that caught him in his trap. This shot was snapped as he scampered back into the Ocean.
Walking on this wharf in the Summer will find you all manner of people, large and small, sail and power boats tied up for a quick leg-stretch on the shore.
Belcarra lets you forget that you live in a city of Millions while only being a few minutes away from downtown Vancouver, Belcarra is off the tourist route but well worth seeing!

Great pictures. We love that place as well and just been down there last Sunday! It's gorgeous.
Nice to see agents taking time off:)
Scott - Vancouver is one of my favorite cities to visit, and now I have a new place to go nearby. And Dungeness Crab fresh - yum! Terrific pictures.
Scott...
Wonderful photos, and an excellent Localism post. Keep up the good work!
Olena: Well part of a day anyway :), The kids had a Pro D day, yesterday and Mom & I wanted to go see some lots up in Anmore.
Mike: Maybe we can get a Family Reunion up here in the next couple of years abd I can take you crabbing.
Richard: Thanks
Oh yes, Pro D day. By their amount you might think the teachers are either not smart enough or will be geniuses before the next snowfall on Vancouver.
I missed this post on my last vist. As a photographer I appreciate the effort taken to stop and shoot photos along the way. It can often get squeezed out when we're busy.
Jeff: I have resolved to take more pictures, in order to make tihs resolution reality I have been carrying around a small camera with me. Its easy and fun! Thanks for the note :)
