Taking the Virtual world of Social Media and making real life connections is the penultimate step for all members of the local Twitter community. This last Friday @myMapleRidge (Andrea Walker) of www.mymapleridge.ca organized the second Maple Ridge Tweetup at the Lava Lounge Restaurant in Maple Ridge real estate.
In attendance were such notable Tweeters as @thriveorg, @rondapayne, @vicki_mcleaod, @bizzybutler, @daryltheartist, @simplifiedbizz, @clickandclown, @maplewashing, and @OneJohnThompson.
It was very nice to put faces to names and ideas and share tips and tricks or pose questions that have been plagueing us to each other. These events are only going to grow as more and more become aware of and follow the #MapleRidge hashtag.

Challengeing launching a 'tweetup' but very cooel - we had one her claled bloblive that worked really well for a while, and a local SEO group sponsors a pretty succesful one called LAtweet Hosted by Aurora Brown, who used to work with me in the old company...
We had a good turnout, Maple Ridge is a small town, we had a dozen turnup which is double the first time.
