Very cool!  I loved it when we had the Olympics down in Atlanta - I was able to go and it was definitely an amazing experience!

We had the flame come right through our little town when the Olympics were held in Salt Lake City in 2002, very cool experience!

That is very exciting, Scott.  I've never seen it but would love to.  Just haven't been at the right place at the right time, I guess.  I think you meant 2/12/2010 though right?  I hope you get to see it!

Scott:

Having the Olympics in my hometown of Atlanta was an amazing event.  I worked as a greeter at the airport and met International delegations as they arrived in Atlanta.  During the brief and chaotic weeks of the Olympics my family met and got to know people from all aver the world.  How great was that!  Trading pins, watching sports I had never seen in person (rowing, volleyball, wrestling) was just amazing.  I highly recommend volunteering and getting yourself fully immersed in the experience.

By the way, Aaron from Texas left the exact same remark on my featured post today.

Guess he is having a bad Monday.

It was great watching the flame come through little ol' Stone Mountain Village a few years back.  Definitely worth the crowd and the wait.

Scott,

This is the most ambitious torch relay in the history of the games; too bad the protestors wouldn't lay off though.

Scott,

We are looking forward to the Olympics in one of the most beautiful spots in Canada.  Our favorite part is that we are in the same time zone as Canada, and we should not be having feed delays.  Hurray!
